Neuwerk is a Wadden Sea island on the German North Sea coast and a homonymous quarter of the city of Hamburg, Germany. During low tide the island can be reached on foot or by horse carriages from Cuxhaven, at other times by ship. The island is 3,6km² big. The most interessting building on the island is the lighthouse from 1310. It is the oldest building of the city fo Hamburg.
