This neo-gothic church which is one of the few churches in Hamburg that remained undamaged during the Second World War was inaugurated in 1882. Thanks to these circumstances, many of its original features have been preserved. The brick church has three naves with narrow aisles. The interior is a splendid mixture of mostly gothic and roman imitations a gilt-carved altar includes a copy of Leonardo da Vinci´ s Last Supper.
