The Oberhafen district is located in the eastern part of the Hafencity. In contrast to the other part of the hafencity is the Oberhafen district used to stay in the hands of the Freien und Hansestadt Hamburg and give creativity and culture a new room. At the moment most of it is used for logical uses and as a freight depot. Single storied storehouses are dominating the district. Old and unused tracks can be found on the streets. The district isn’t flood proof.
